1. 1.          Meeting call to order

President took the chair to conduct the meeting.

Lam Ka Hang further declared the necessary quorum was present and the meeting would proceed with the stipulated business.

 

1. 2.          Adoption of agenda

Chairman Lam Ka Hang listed out the agenda, and it was unanimously agreed and adopted.

 

1. 3.          Approval of the meeting minutes of 5^th May2013. ECM

It was resolved that the minutes of ECM 5^th May be approved and adopted.

 

 

4. Closing Activities at 29th June 2013

– Promotion “ SMS, Email, Souvenir “

• It was reported that SMS would be sent to all Alumni to promote this event.
• Before doing it, WFNaa needs to send Personal Information Collection Statement to all Alumni allowing them to opt-out.
• Lee Ka Bo will help to manage the opt-out cases.

~ Basketball & Football competition (1st Alumni Cup)

 *Rules & Regulations; Enrollment; Disclaimer; Prize, Logistic.

• It was reported that there were 13 teams of Basketball and Football enrolled for the 1^st Alumni Cup
• They will be grouped into 4 groups for the competition
  • Round 1 will be on June 22 for basketball game
  • Round 2 will be on June 23 for football game
  • Final game will be on June 29
• The Alumni Cup Application Form with Waiver of Liability and Declaration will be sent to all teams’ captain for notifying liability and request to provide the team members’ information.
• After the discussion, it was proposed that the trophy for the winning team was a cup and medals for the winning team-members. It was proposed to organize this WFN Alumni Cup every year and was unanimously agreed.

 

For the ball games Yip Man Keung requested WFNc’s help for

• At least three judges were required for each ball game. WFNc was requested to nominate some students and PE teachers to act as judges for the ball games. Principle Leung will help.
• Numbering vests were required for the players during the ball games. 
• First Aid facility is needed during the ball games. WFNc Red-Cross was requested to stand-by for the event.

 

 

 

 

 

~ Dinner

 *Guest Invitation, Enrollment, Program, MC, Table Setting, Logistic.

       Dr Yuen reported that 10 tables were booked.

• Guest Invitation:

                     After the discussion, it was subjected to invite

• All current WFNC’s teachers
• The teachers who have been invited for the 50^th Anniversary Dinner
• And some others were nominated during the meeting e.g Two Miss Ma, Mr Sung, Mrs Chu  ….
  • The expected deadline for the invited teachers’ reply was on or before June 12.
  • There are 3 art pieces from Yung Sir for auction

• Program

• Lucky Draw for table prizes and grand prizes which will be donated by WNNaa Executive Committee Members with value over $100.

• Prize-Giving for the 1^st WFN Alumni Cup of the Basket Ball and Football winner
• Master of Ceremonies      

After the discussion, Yung Ming Chau was nominated to be the MC for this event.

Lee Ka Bo was invited by Yung Ming Chau as the partner for the MC.

 

5.   Webpage Launch

“ Key holder /Disclaimer /Event invitation /Opt-out control “

• It was reported the WFNaa Webpage would be launched within this month.
• Web-page forum management
  • Currently Lai Chun Man is in charge of the Webpage forum.
  • After the discussion, Yuen Kai Tak , Yip Man Keung , Yung Ming Chau and Lai Chun Man were nominated to be the administrator to manage the WFNaa Webpage’s forum.

6. Yung Sir, Poem & Drawing exhibition will be on June 29 to July 1, 2013

 

7. Ex-principal Yim, memorial corner will be on June 29 to July 1, 2013

8.1 WFNaa T-Shirt

                After the discussion and voting

• Orange color was selected for the T-Shirt.
• The WFNC school emblem was to print on the lateral side of one sleeve of the T-Shirt.
• The TWGHs 一中school emblem was to print on the other sleeve 
• 20 T-Shirts will be ordered for each size of Small / Medium / Large 

 

8.2 Donation Box

• In the meeting, some members proposed to set-up a donation box.
• After the discussion, below issues were raised for the donation box setup
  • The security of the box
  • A clear objective for the donation box , otherwise it will created many questions.
  • Finally, it was proposed to setup a committee to organize this issue. Vincent / Gary / Zoe and Ivy were nominated for this committee.

 

8.3 45^th Boys’ Scout Anniversary

• It was reported that WFNc team 171 Boys’ Scout was going to celebrate its 45^th Anniversary.
• On June 22, a celebration would be hold in WFNc at 17:00 PM

 

8.4 School Redevelopment

Principal reported that

• The HK government’s budget for the School Construction is 300M.
• Other than this 300M, at least 22.8M is needed for this School Redevelopment.

 

8.5 Chong Sir reported the financial report and the progress of the WFNaa changing of the signature of the Savings Account and Current/Cheque Account was still under processing.

The meeting was closed at 7:00 pm.
